I saw “The Big Gay Musical” movie tonight. It was fun, touching, humorous, and thought provoking. Written, produced, & co-directed by Fred M. Caruso as well as co-produced by fellow “Adaumbelle’s Quest” participant Tom D’Angora (and his partner Michael Duling). The movie tells the tale of of “Paul” and “Eddie”who star in their new Off- Broadway musical “Adam and Steve Just the Way God Made ‘Em.” Their lives seem to reflect the characters they play in the show. The movie makes you wonder: How can you combine faith and sexuality? What lengths will one go through to find the perfect man, while staying true to yourself? Is there a such thing as love?
Those questions are brought to life by this talented cast Joey Dudding as “Eddie,” Daniel Robinson as “Paul,” “Adaumbelle’s Quest” particpant Kate Pazakis as “Kate” (you get to see snip-its of Kate Pazkakis hosting “Mostly Sondheim” and hear strut her big, beautiful voice!). Plus you get to hear Liz McCartney (From “Taboo”) as “Patty” & Marty Thomas (from “Xanadu) as “Dorothy” BELT the rooftops out of their solo songs.
“The Big Gay Musical” is here for a limited time only through September 24, so get down to Chelsea Cinema’s in NYC on 23rd Street (between 7th & 8th Ave) and go see this movie!
