This Sunday, October 24, 2010, I will be participating in “Out of Darkness: The Walk for Suicide Prevention.” Donations are being accepted until December 31, 2010!
Suicide affects many people, including me. In years past, I’ve had suicidal thoughts like others where I felt there was no way out of the darkness. Luckily, with help, I found my way out, and am here today to say things do get better. Suicide is a permanent fix to a temporary problem.
Today I walk for myself, for my friends who tried to commit suicide, and for those GLBT youth who have taken their life because they felt they had no where to turn.
I will be walking with “The Beaten Path” team. “The Beaten Path” (now called “Welcome To My Life”) is a musical in development by fellow “Adaumbelle’s Quest” participant Bobby Cronin about the struggles kids go through and show them there is light at the end of the darkness.
Remember: Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem! Things will get better!
Please give what you can. No amount is too small and no amount is too big. Thank you for your support!
