It’s that time of year again when I will be participating in the “2010 Making Strides” Breast Cancer walk on Sunday, October 17 on Long Island!

I walk with many people on my mind…first and foremost my mother, who continues to be cancer free after being diagnosed in 2003. I also walk for Bobby Flynn, a wonderful woman I worked with from 1999-2001 in Boston. Bobby lost the battle with breast cancer, so I continue to walk for her. I also walk for Carissa Maringo who lost her fight to cancer in 2009 at the young age of 32. I also walk for fellow “Adaumbelle’s Quest” participants Rue McClanahan and Olivia Newton-John, both cancer survivors, though we lost our dear Rue last year after her stroke. Finally, I walk for all those people out there who have been affected by Breast Cancer and for those who can’t walk!

If you are able to make a contribution, your support would mean a lot, whether it’s $1, $5, $10, $50 or $100. Thank you for your time!
