1. Who inspired you to become a performer? I always knew I wanted to perform. I am the youngest of four children and percentage-wise most performers are the youngest in their family.

2. What is the highest and lowest note you can sing? Lowest I don’t know, highest, I have a whistle tone, so I don’t think really counts, but highest on stage was an “E” in “Phantom” and “Dance Of The Vampires.”

3. Who is the one person you haven’t worked with that you would like to? I worked with George Hearn twice, so I think the only other person is, Angela Lansbury.

4. If you couldn’t be doing what you are doing now, what career would you choose? It would have to be something creative, designing, or writing.

5. Do you have any rituals that you must do before a show? How do you decompress after a show? No pre-show rituals, after I watch the food network or “Law and Order.”

6. Do you have any strange or unusual talent that nobody knows about? I don’t consider any of my talents strange or unusual…I bake , I sew, I write music, I draw…

1. Who inspired you to become a performer? My inspiration was, unfortunately, not artistic in nature, but more…well…based in nature…you’ll see what I mean. I was inspired late in high school by the girls in the school musical. A friend was in it so I went. I fell asleep. (Don’t tell anyone…oops.) I went to the cast party after and was the only jock there…(Big old smiley face)…I had an excellent time, and decided I needed to hang out with these people more.

2. What is the highest and lowest note you can sing? This one varies on the song. (High) – I have an audition song that taps a high C. There are other songs out there however where I struggle with an A. There’s a science behind it, I know, that’s why I keep my voice coach around. (Low) – I have no idea. Give me a bottle of Beam and a piano, let’s go play. …But don’t tell my voice coach.

3. What has been your best and worst experience in a show? Most shows I’ve done have had amazing highs and few to no lows. Unless auditions count, because, wow, that’s an art I have not figured out.

4. Who do you consider to be your hero? My mom, my Grandparents, my siblings, Sheldon Patinkin, Jeff Ginsberg…people who know how smile and shrug their shoulders at the worst events out of their control, and who can also allow the most amazing events to live, and go.

5. If you could dream about anyone while you sleep, who would it be? Oh man, if I knew the answer to that question, I’d go find a way to meet them in person.

6. Do you have any strange or unusual talent that no one knows about? Yes, but if I told you, people would know…okay fine…I’m really good at deflecting…

7. Favorite way to stay in shape? Running, rock climbing, and weight training.

8. Boxers or Briefs? Boxer briefs! Do people really still wear briefs?

9. Favorite website? What’s a “website?” Is that on the “internet?”

10. Superman or Wonder Woman? Dude. Superman.

1. Who inspired you to become a performer? I don’t think there was one person who inspired me – at least not that I remember. I am inspired often though when I see performers now who seem to resonate with me. Meryl Streep in Doubt was absolutely transforming to me. Dudley Moore in Arthur. Eva Cassidy in almost every song. . . If I could have the impact on one person that they have had on me – I would be a happy man!

2. What is your best and worst experience in a show? My best experience is any time I make an audience roar with laughter – I know that that laughter is the product of a collaboration – but it sure feels good! My worst, I think, is during one show of Clue – The Musical off-Broadway. A group of drunk bachelorettes were sitting in the front row and one of them decided to wake up the bride-to-be. She proceeded to scream profanities at the top of her lungs about how horrible it was that our show was still going on. Good times.

3. Do you have any strange or unusual talent that no one knows about? Nope!

4. Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts? What do you order? Starbucks – Large Earl Grey Tea with one tea bag – skim milk and lots of sugar. 🙂

5. Favorite way to stay in shape? I do a lot of walking and I do sit-ups and push-ups every other day and lots and lots of stretching. Of course the shows that I do help to keep me in shape too.

6. Boxers or Briefs? Briefs.

7. Favorite TV show? I don’t watch TV but I think I would like Ugly Betty.

8. Favorite actor? I don’t have a favorite.

9. Superman or Wonder Woman? Superman – I like a strong man who looks good in tights!

10. Summer Resort or Winter Retreat? Summer resort – I love the sun and all of the activities around the beach or a pool.
